Pausing With God Ministries was birthed over 15 years ago…but we officially became a 501(c)(3) in 2014. We are a dedicated nonprofit whose mission is to foster personal and professional growth. Our vision is clear…to encourage, empower and engage women(and recently we added young girls). We encourage them to see who they are and who God made them to be. We empower them to believe in their future and what is possible. We engage them to take part in building their future.

We do this a several ways, through events like this retreat, Online and in person Bible Studies, Lunch & Learns, Crafty Conversations (where we teach a craft and have a relatable conversation), and for the past 14 years Early Morning Prayer – a group intercessors and myself meet up every Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Our founders story began at sixteen years old, hired by the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA). A program to train disadvantaged youths.

With her working papers in one hand and a grin across her face that could brighten up the darkest day. She tutored her first elementary school-age child. Little did she know, that day would lead to a life of personal and professional public service.

After more than two decades of volunteering in the community, Pausing With God Ministries was birthed. This non-profit challenges girls and women (ages 12 and up) to turn their weakness into strength and use their gifts and talents to make a difference in their life, their family, and their community.

Our board members and I are excited about the journey up ahead as we continue to encourage women to recognize the who, what, where and why for their lives. We empower them to seek out the available resources and to be engaged in their present and see the possibilities and opportunities for their future.
