My 2022 has started out with a lump. I woke up with soreness and a lump under my swollen left armpit. At first, I shrugged it off as I had been doing some new exercises targeting my arms.
Last night the pain was alerting me that something wasn’t right. My husband and I prayed over my body, and I went on my evening. As I climbed in bed, I thought to lay a heating pad on the area and see what it would look like in the morning.
I woke up this morning and of course the first place my hand went was under my armpit. The swelling went down, but there is still a soreness and a little bump. Before I got up to get ready for church, I was encouraged as I just had a mammogram, and the results were good, but it can’t hurt to get another one. So, I emailed my doctor describing what I felt and requested a mammogram referral.
You may be asking yourself why I would be pausing to share?
First, this thing under my arm could very well be a catalyst for me to write this blog and remind you that before you get busy this year, if you have not; make sure you plan your annual checkups.
Second, maybe for you to pause and be alert, be awake and be attentive to the messages your body is sending to your brain. Even if you don’t think it’s a big deal, it can’t hurt to pause and get checked out – you are so worth it!
Okay there is your assignment to start your year out. I will be going to get checked hopefully sometime this week. And in the meantime, I’m off to enjoy a wonderful day as I am offering God a praise in advance for a good report for His word says in Romans 8:28 ….I know that God works ALL things (even this) out for His glory and my good!
Praying that 2022 be a year that we see God do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever think or ask… (Ephesians 3:20-21).
